Representative Carnival 30 April - REVISED DRAW

We are looking forward to sunshine, great netball games and lots of support from our Association netball members and enthusiasts attendance at our Rep Carnival on Sunday.
We will be running:
• BBQ for Breakfast – bacon and eggs, Lunch – burgers and sausage sandwiches
• Full canteen facilities with selection of food, drinks, chips, lollies and ice creams etc.
• Coffee van
• Raffles
o A framed and signed GWS GIANTS netball foundational player dress. $5 per ticket or 3 for $10
o A $150 voucher from Athletes Foot. $2 per ticket or 3 for $5
• Several donation buckets for any loose change.
• Athletes Foot will have a stall selling shoes and socks etc.
All funds raised will go to the refitting and refurbishment of our downstairs clubhouse area that was a total right off after flood water almost reached the second level floor. All areas have been washed down and cleaned and the courts have held up well, ready for use.
Please park on the grassed area on the side street to courts (Diadem Street).
We thank you in advance for your kind words and gestures already expressed and great support on Sunday.

Council Meeting

The scheduled General Council Meeting on Tuesday 4 April is postponed until Tuesday 2 May at 6pm at the clubhouse.
Please let your delegates know.

SUNCORP Net Set and Go programs

Please see the attached flyer for full details on the SUNCORP Net Set Go program Lismore Netball Association will be running in 2017.

Net (5 - 7 years) and Set ( 8 - 10 years) programs will commence on 6 May and run every Saturday concluding on 26 August 2017 with a small presentation. Time will be advised very soon.
Net and Set player registrations - please follow process outlined in the flyer.

The GO program will take the format of competition games and 9/10 year olds can register with one of our clubs that have junior membership - see club sign on details for contact person.
GO starts on 1 April and runs through to Grand Final day, again time to be advised very soon.

We are looking forward to welcoming new and returning young players into these programs.

Net Set Go information

We are very happy to announce that Kylie Davis is our Net Set Coordinator and she will be ably assisted by Trish Rohweder. Thank you ladies for undertaking this role.

NET SET GO 2017
Clubs will register as NSG centres and take registrations for the following programs:
NET SET GO
With the restructuring of the Net Set Go program Lismore Netball Association will run a program for 5 – 8 year olds. This program will focus on skill activities and GO type games.
Starts 6 May and concludes 26 August 2017 with time to be advised.

GO COMPETITION – Junior
Clubs will take registrations for a 9 – 10 year old players to participate in competition.
Teams will be formed and a point score will be kept.
An 8 year old can be included as long as they have a minimum of 2 years at the skills based program.
Starts 1 April and concludes with Grand Finals.

CONGRATULATIONS RACHEL HERNE!

The Lismore and District Netball Association is thrilled to congratulate Rachel Herne on her selection into the NSW U19S team to take part in the 2017 National Netball Championships.

This is Rachel's second consecutive year in the NSW U19s team. An outstanding achievement.
We are all very proud of you Rachel and your commitment and dedication to achieve your goals.

Congratulations Rachel and know that you have the support of the Lismore netball community behind you as you undertake the next few months of preparations for success at the tournament.

NSW Govt. Working with Children Check

Hi all,
It is necessary for all volunteers in our sport to obtain a working with children check if you will be having any contact with children in the role of coach, assistant coach or team manager.
This requirement is being phased in this year
There is no fee and you can complete the process on line and then finalise at the Service NSW Office on Ballina Rd, Lismore.
